It’s here again, Happy New Year! It’s the time of the year to reflect on the learning from 2017 – not just say – “finally it’s over!” but ask yourself – What did I learn? What did the year give me? What shall I stop doing or start doing differently? – It’s a new year, new start, new challenge, new unknowns ahead of us. We can approach the new year with the intention of making a difference, making an impact – on ourselves, on our family, friends or others.
I like this motivation quote I got from a coaching friend of mine – Every new day is another chance to change your life.
We can take it to the next level and say – Every NEW YEAR is another chance to change your life. And it is! I personally don’t like new year’s resolutions but I like whole life intentions. So why don’t approach the 2018 with the intention to change your life?
I just shared a New Year’s video from Robin Sharma and he talks about setting 5 goals for each day – 5 goals which need to be accomplished that day. Over the year is 1825 accomplishments!!! Isn’t that stunning! How many little things you can do a day which make such a huge sum over the year?! And with 1825 accomplishments, there’s gotta be a great result at the year end when you look back!
Now you ask – isn’t that too much? I ask – What’s holding you back? Are you scared? Are you tired? Are you unsure which direction to go? Sometimes, we just need a little nudge, little (but big and smart) question someone else asks us so we can get moving in the right direction.
And that’s the power of coaching. The ordinary ad yet powerful question which can change your life, your year, your perspective… And that’s how I can contribute to your well being and making this world a little bit of a better place.
